Good news for us is that our GS guarantee turned into an upgrade so we're glad we kept the booking we made onboard and will use our certificates on another future cruise with the casino booking office if the rates are better than regular C&A rates and promotions. The problem is that this new 'separation of church and state' has not filtered down to the booking staff on board. I was told that I would have to cancel and rebook with their office. When I called RCI, I was transferred to the office for casino credit bookings and was told that their unpublished rates could not be combined with Crown and Anchor promotions. Was told they could be applied to our onboard booking. Just off Grandeur with casino certificates. But if I have two, they would only apply it to my price and could not apply another one of mine to my husband. If each person on the reservation has a certificate you each can use them, one per booking. It has been my experience that CR won't let one person 'stack' certificates. They did let me use the certificate with the current 30% off and my C & A balcony discount. I was told I couldn't use a certificate on a cruise booked with the casino rate. I just booked a cruise today with CR using a certificate.

I was told that all that has changed in the last few weeks. That would be a shame, but not a surprise.

I do know that the 'rules' are changing erratically for Club a Royale so maybe we just got lucky and this type of double discounts are going away.

This cruise was not repriced - the total of the 2 certificates was simply taken directly off the top and directly reduced the amount we owed on this cruise. In Feb my husband and I both received certificates, which we applied directly to a booking we had made, months before, that had been priced at a substantial casino discount. My experience is that not only can you use the certificates as 'dollars off' an already existing booking with a Club a Royale casino rate, you can actually 'stack' multiple certificates on the same existing booking.
